Learning should be fun.
"Often when I speak with people regarding educating our children, (learning as they learn, focusing on abilities rather than disabilities, becoming happy students, kids loving to learn, kids wanting to like and help one another, high standardized test scores, well-rounded happy people, respect for oneself and for others), I am called 'idealistic' and 'unrealistic'.
But ... the truth, as my father used to say, is in the pudding. And what amazing 'pudding' we revel in each day.
In our small, homey, school environment, we have a little piece of the world ... A modern-day Little House on the Prairie school house ... kids of all ages and a wide-variety of learning styles, all working together ... helping each other to grow ... challenging one another to be the best they can be.
